So content marketing is a big thing now, huh? Back in Ad school, not once did a professor sit me down and say, “FYI, you might be ghostwriting later in your career. It’s called marketing.” I get it, but my Nanna still doesn’t understand why my face isn’t next to my article 😟

Anyways, content is about so much more than just selling a brand like Foursquare. The trick is to strike a balance between powerful, authentic thought leadership and strategic self-promotion. It’s helping businesses understand you can help them meet their goals in a measurable way.

THE CHALLENGE: What can you provide that’s truly valuable to your audience to inspire engagement with your brand and ramp up interest in your services?

THE SOLUTION: The first step to being a thought leader is to act like one. Pick a topic you know you can rock and partner with a boss publication to bring it to life. (Oh, and don’t forget to add a plug about downloading your content so you can drive traffic to your site and track leads. So smooth!)
